These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Vuelve a Casa platform. By accessing or using the service you agree to these Terms.
Acceptance
Using the service means you accept these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
What the service does
Vuelve a Casa lets pet owners publish a search for a lost pet, generate a printable poster with a QR code, and receive sightings from anyone who scans the QR or opens the search page. Direct messaging and a moderated message wall are also provided.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to create an account. If you are below that age, a parent or guardian must register and operate the account on your behalf.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for all activity on your account. Notify us at once if you suspect your credentials have been compromised. We may suspend an account that shows signs of abuse, automated activity, or that violates these Terms.
Content you publish
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. By publishing them you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content for the purpose of running the platform. You promise that you have the right to share what you upload and that the content does not violate anyone else's rights.
What you must not do
No illegal, deceptive, hateful, sexual, or violent content. No impersonating someone else's pet or contact details. No commercial advertising. No scraping, automation, or abuse of the platform. Wall messages are moderated; off-topic or harmful posts may be removed.
Voluntary contributions
The service is free. You may optionally support the project via the "Support Us" page. Contributions are not donations to a registered charity, do not grant any extra rights or features, and are governed by the Refund Policy linked from the footer.
No guarantee of finding your pet
We provide the tools (search page, QR poster, scan tracking, message wall) but we cannot guarantee that your pet will be found. Finding a pet depends on many factors outside our control.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vuelve a Casa and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Ending the relationship
You can close your account at any time from the profile page. We can suspend or close an account that violates these Terms. Closing your account removes your content from public view; we keep limited records for legal and security purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the platform changes or the law requires it. The "last updated" date at the top will change and, for material updates, we will notify registered users by email or via an in-app message.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply where mandatory. Disputes can be raised through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
